Whether you're joining us for a guided encounter, a private group experience, or one of our specialised cheetah experiences in South Africa, every visit to Cornellskop is built around respect for the animals and the environment they call home.
All experiences are guided by our team and take place within a structured, controlled setting. Because the wellbeing of our animals comes first, encounters may vary depending on the animals' behaviour and comfort on the day.

The Walking Tour
Our Walking Tour offers a guided introduction to the animals and daily life at Cornellskop. Led by our experienced team, you’ll learn about the animals’ histories, personalities, behaviours, and the care that goes into managing a working animal farm.
This is a thoughtful option for guests looking for ethical animal encounters in South Africa, with a strong focus on education, respect, and animal-led interaction.
Depending on the animals and conditions on the day, guests may have the opportunity to enter selected enclosures under supervision, while other species are viewed from designated areas for safety and welfare reasons.
Please note: Access to the cheetah enclosure is restricted to guests aged 10 years and older who are at least 1.4 metres tall.

Private animal experiences
A More Personal Experience
The Private Walking Tour includes the same guided experience as our standard Walking Tour, but is reserved exclusively for your group.
Ideal for families, friends, photographers, and small groups, this option allows you to enjoy the experience without sharing the tour with other visitors while still benefiting from the same educational and animal-led approach.
Please note: Access to the cheetah enclosure is restricted to guests aged 10 years and older who are at least 1.4 metres tall.
Private Cheetah Run Experience
Witness Natural Speed and Agility
This experience combines our Walking Tour with a private cheetah run session, making it one of Cornellskop’s most memorable cheetah experiences in South Africa.
Guests begin with a guided encounter before moving to a designated viewing area to observe a cheetah pursuing a lure in a controlled environment. The session provides a rare opportunity to witness the animal’s natural speed, agility, and athleticism while remaining focused on welfare and safety.
Bottled water is provided during the experience. Food is not permitted during the cheetah run portion of the tour to avoid unnecessary distraction.
As with all encounters at Cornellskop, participation is subject to the animals’ wellbeing and behaviour on the day.

Sunset on the Farm
Private Game Drive Experience
This experience combines our Walking Tour with a private game drive through the upper reaches of the farm in an original Land Rover.
After your guided encounter, you'll head into the quieter areas of the property to experience the landscape at sunset while enjoying light snacks and a glass of bubbles. The drive concludes with the evening feeding of selected animals, including zebra, giraffe, gemsbok, and ostrich.
This is a relaxed, unhurried experience that offers a different perspective of the farm and its wildlife.
Please note: This is a seasonal option that we usually only run during the warmer months.
